Christina Rappold is a freelance Design Director passionate about combining method with emotional resonance in order to clarity the creative process— regardless of scope, business model, or objective.
She has a shared office in Brooklyn, New York but lives full-time in Warsaw, Poland— she travels often between the two. Her ten years of professional experience stems from both digital & physical realms, pulling from Brand Design, Interiors & Editorial, oftentimes combined. This range, alongside a diversity of clientele, has given her a wide skillset. Christy is a team-player; she supports her collaborators with great care.
Since going full-time freelance five years ago, her clientele primarily include small businesses with large social impact— she works directly with these clients on re-brand initiatives, internal developments, and select, special projects.
Beyond a last name, "Rappold," is a manifesto. Pulling from etymological roots, this word is composed of the ancient Germanic elements rād ("counsel, advice") and bald ("bold, brave"), indicating a name given to signify courage or wisdom. Inspired by this, we offer creative leaders brave counsel. We design for those who dream through trade— those who, regardless of present-day uncertainty, fulfill themselves through their craft in pursuit of a better, collective future.
Our services herald a wide range. While Christy's personal skillset pulls from over a decade of design training, her primary focus is now placed on servicing client relations, project direction, oversight and quality control. She will pull in top-tier collaborators as needed, based on a project's scope, to provide you with the best possible outcome for your design needs.
Initial Consultation
After introductions, we begin with a complimentary consultation call to understand your project's needs and any additional thoughts you have. Insights here will inform an estimate or proposal contract. Upon client-approval, work will commence once the contract is signed and an initial deposit is received.
Step 1: Discovery
Rappold will host a workshop meeting with clientele to research & establish foundational elements such as: tone-of-voice, presentation values, visual references, competition and case studies—anything that feels relevant and inspiring is well noted in this phase. These directions provide both parties with clarity and context as a sort of "green light," for the ensuing phases.
Step 2: Design
With a clear creative "North", Rappold will begin the design process. Presentation reviews are established either monthly or bi-weekly as a way to track progress and creative alignment. The team will typically present creative design proposals by way of a sharable PDF or Figma Prototypes.
Step 3: Development
Depending on the project type and timeline, our trusted freelancers—selected from over a decade of design expertise—are engaged to bring a design across the finish line. For web projects, this includes code developers, while branding might require a print designer for production-ready files. Collaboration is essential for maintaining quality control on larger projects.
Step 4: Delivery
A close-out invoice is due before delivery. After payment, clientele receive a shared folder with all relevant files, color codes, font links, templates, and other assets. For websites, we allow two to four weeks for user and bug testing before an official launch. We're available for technical support and additional services afterward. Minor assistance requests are usually honored and included, but excessive requests will require a new consultation quote.
